Second Take

A short walk skirting Anglesey Abbey, Lode. A lovely walk but look closer and I still found litter.

Walking Art

Below is a the route I walked, drawn by foot and hand because Google Maps struggled linking the longitude and latitude points and insisted on routing through Lode village. The walk begins in Anglesey Abbey car park, then follows the dog walkers trail round to the water mill and then follows the Lode drain. Incidently, a lode is the name for an artificial drain, possibly first built by the Romans..

Recharge

Even a short walk through the countryside allows me to recharge and distract my mind from the worrying times. The flooded woods were full of bird song and in the stream I spotted a few roach and a chub enjoying the raised water levels. Conversley, finding litter proves that some people, who navigated the area, do not share my values. Fortunately, I found very little but the National Trust wardens regularly clean-up around Anglesey Abbey.
