Space I Inhabit: Observations

6 December 2019

When I started collecting the canisters along my chosen route, that winds through old Chesterton, the canisters
laid on the road for days on end and finding them was fairly easy. Then it started to get harder and I had to
really look in the gutters and roadside hedges. At first I thought the littering had stopped. However, one
morning I spied road collectors who had turned up early in the morning to clear the litter and realised why the
canisters were hard to find. From then on, I had to get up earlier or collect at weekends.

I also observed that I could follow a route of where the canister using drivers had travelled and disposed of their
used canisters and balloons: From Tesco end of Milton Road, through Chesterton, down Queen Elizabeth Way,
then Newmarket Road and Coldhams Lane.
