The exhibition runs for one month starting 8th October 2009
I painted this view, another in my Fenland Series, of Ten Mile Bank near Brandon Creek in June. I painted this wet in wet with mostly a large brush as I rushed to capture the vivid blue fen sky and the morphing clouds.

Fen Storm is a different painting to my recent work, it is painted with free , expressive and large brush strokes. I really enjoyed painting this and will work in this way on future paintings. I hope I have managed to capture the atmosphere off being caught in the storm – I got totally soaked during this storm.

Inside Out, is the title for my new painting. I painted it in two sittings, squeezing much of the colour directly onto the canvas and then mixing and drawing with palette knives. I tried to keep the colour as pure as possible and did not over blend. My main concern was the push-pull of colours, shapes and marks.

Abstract oil painting
I have just completed a new oil painting for my fenland series – literally the paint is still wet.
It is 24 x 18 inches and on a deep canvas so does not need a frame.

Fenland Rise is another work in my fenland series of landscape paintings. I wanted to capture the overcast morning light that spread across the rapeseed and ploughed fields near the fen town of Whittlesey .
