Isolation Sculpture – What Next?

I started planning this sculpture during the first Covid-19 Lockdown and now I have finally got round to posting it up we are about to go into another Lockdown. And even now, I have not decided if it is complete. I may still decide carve further into the cement or allow the elements to eat away at it. I am not entirely satisfied with it but I have learn so much researching a new methodology.

The sculpture is intended to represent how the older generation have often been left vulnerable and isolated. With this, one of my aims has been to convey an older persons body, how, as we age, the body sags. Furthermore, I have used texture and colour such as, greens and browns to represent how the Covid-19 or mental issues and eat away at us.
